23 video / pinball / slot machines for sale!!

I'm pretty sure Funhouse was the particular one that sparked the "silent auction". Just reading this thread alone; I believe 5 people on here pm'ed about it....

Did she just post this on Klov or was there a auction listing in RGP-cause of the pins? It could be a person/fuckfag from there.. What sucks is that particular pin is the *vogue* thing now, and there is a decent pinball community in the MN. area. Just putting 2 two and two together....

I emailed her a price list that all of you would have thought were good deals because thats what she asked for. Those prices were "condition and sight unseen prices" I also told her geographic area, and condition ment alot in price when it came to stuff like this. When I got pics in a email they were not as great as I thought so id say price just went down.
I only ever got pricing on the Fun House and Popeye from her, nothing else so far. When I saw the $1500 min on the FH I thought WOW whos she been talking too???? That thing didnt look that mint to me? still interested in some other stuff but dont have any more info.

BTW popeye bid starts at $1000

Wow... this thread really went somewhere... "festivities" indeed. Great stuff.
Glad I stayed on the sidelines. In some ways, this was a lot more rewarding back in the RGVAC days, before Craigslist and other shit that makes it so easy. It was fun shaking the trees and treating your fellow collectors and operators well so they would think of you when they came across something. Now it's all dog eat dog. Worst part of it is, most of the people sending this seller emails and PMs probably never would've busted out a shiny nickel towards actually purchasing something.
Sad.
Chris, I am glad you got something you wanted and perhaps mellowed her out a bit on the experience.

$5000-$10,000 sounds fair to me, but what do I know? (depending on working conditions). I am sure no one on this site will want to pay that much.:) I am sure you are getting $500-$1000 offers for the whole lot from these guys...lol. Good luck!

-told the seller not to accept under x dollars for x item no matter what*

After she rejected my serious offer of $4500 for the whole lot, site unseen and no questions asked, she proceeded to email me asking me for advice on "how much she could get" for some of the rarer stuff. Not wanting to get a penny less than she possibly could for everything.

I told her that after my offer was rejected, I didn't see any reason to help her get top dollar for everything. If I can't buy the stuff, I at least want other people to have the best chance possible to get it for a reasonable price.

But she clearly changed from her original post of "Let's get this stuff sold so that everyone feels like they got a deal and nobody gets ripped off..." to, let's get this stuff sold for the most money I can possibly get, no matter how I have to do it.

What a fucking saint you are.

EDIT: and I'm being serious. Props to you for not screwing everyone else over when it's obvious others do.

Hello :)
I saw these, some stuff looked interesting but then I remembered the formula...
Clueless seller asking advice on forums = hassles and let downs
Did anybody besides Chris get anything? - Brian

just got a email that lists the sold items, items that have prices on them and items that say they have offers but are taking offers. Items with pricing seem reasonable.

Care to share? Apparently I'm not on the 'list' but I was interested in a couple of things, just wondering...

I also notice a few of the items are now on craigslist...

Is that true?

Yes, everything except the reading part.

I love the South Park guys. :) Glad I stayed out of this one, I figured it would be a train wreck. I offered $800 for Popeye in as is condition, with absolutely no expectations at all, just cause I wanted to play what many consider the worst DMD pin of all time. She didn't e-mail back and I left it at that. I get a kick out of these people that consider it their moral duty to tell other people what they need to and should get out of selling their own stuff.

It's official. I will NEVER get a chance to get in on any kind of warehouse deal. Ever.

40 miles from me? In the middle of effin' NOWHERE here in the Midwest? This was it. It's never gonna happen again for me in my lifetime. I'm pretty sure I'll win the lottery before I get a chance to get in on something like this.

If by some miracle of GOD some backwoods shed deal ever does turn up here again, I shudder to think of how deeply the claws of the KLOV vultures will sink into the flesh of my money-filed fists.

Piranhas.

Chris, you and I have some interesting things to discuss on Wed :)
