23 video / pinball / slot machines for sale!!

The Original poster was very kind and helpful to get me pics of the Pin i was interested in. She held a silent bidding process, which seemed fair, and i think that pin sold as of yesterday. Personally, for me, the condition was off - playfield wear i wasnt willing to work with. The price seemed inline with what expectation - not a low price, not a high price. I think even for a few hundred lower i may have passed - just been lazy lately and dont feel like working on a machine.

agreed, I got the same pics. the popeye art was a little off, some damage on fun house. What pin sold? I got emails on the funhouse and popeye. I made a offer on the popeye.

Man oh man. I see these these deals pop up all over the country, but always too far away for me to get too excited. I see the ads, shake my head and move one, thinking "Man, those lucky bastards in Texas/California/ New York, that stuff never happens around here." I never contact the seller, never try to screw up the deal for anyone, as that's not my style. Now one of these deals pops up locally, I am the first to respond, and soon after receive an email and then a phone call. I then get to find out how several people *from all over the country*

-have tried to buy the lot for a discounted price
-offered slightly more than the local guys on a select few items
-told the seller not to accept under x dollars for x item no matter what*
-told her to hold a silent auction

Who are you people? *This is the one that really gets me. Who are you to say what the bottom price on any item is without seeing it in person, and what's your motivation for doing so? You good Samaritans should identify yourselves so I can send you your just reward. What a fucking joke. At least I had an insider stop and inspect the goods. He told me straight out that these machines all stink like dog shit and cat piss, were filthy, needed repairs and weren't worth nearly what people were 'bidding' for them. That gives me some consolation.

Who the fuck does this? What losers. Yes, if you are reading this and you have done this before, you are a fucking loser. Kill yourself.

Last I heard from the 'auctioneer' - she was going to put a price list toegther and get back to me - after not hearing anything for several days I now discover why - silent fucking auction? Give me a break...

Could it have had something to do with me wanting to actually inspect a few things closer before making an offer? Or the fact that even from the 'typical pics' I was sent I noticed some issues? Combined with what Phet stated above, I guess this whole thing was a waste of time for a lot of us... and even if I was able to check it out and make a fair offer I'm sure some 'local' from 400+ miles away would have 'advised' our now auctioneer to decline... thanks a lot!

The thing is, she WAS willing to deal/ let people try before they buy/ accept reasonable offers, etc. She was, that is, until being contacted by the usual sour grape deal busters and whiny whistle-blowing fuckfags lurking around every KLOV Korner. I just wanted one machine, just one. I wasn't being greedy, or low-balling or bad-mouthing or any of that shit. Just pisses me off is all. Maybe she made it all up to get higher offers? I highly doubt it though. Fuck you Fun House guy.

Greatest post in KLOV history.

im sure it was someone who has 30 machines on cl not selling because they are 10x over priced and is pussy hurt someone is getting a good deal. or some scumbag op that is mad his $50,000 of stuff he got in the 1990's isnt worth his $40,000 asking price in 2011

I dont want to mislead anyone about the silent auction thing - read ahead:

I got an email saying, that they have a bid on the machine (1500) and anyone willing to bid higher gets it by certain date (think it was yesterday). Thats what i call a silent auction (sorry if i am using it the wrong way). Seems fair to me - if anyone wants to beat that price, so be it. Wonder why the rest of the group didnt get that mail?

I set my price lower based on the pics. Heck i saw a FH for 1400 in much better shape last week and passed.

Whoever got it, best of luck wif it. Thanks. I know i will find one someday.... (saw a nice one yesterday that i am thinking over).

Yeah I got the same email. 3-4 days after I spoke with her on the phone. She went from personally dealing with me to adding me to the mass mailing queue. Again, all things being equal and my frustrations aside, these items were for sale to the public no matter where you live. I have no problem with that. It's the people giving her 'savvy seller's advice' that piss me off. She sells real estate and people's personal property for a living. Pretty sure she didn't need advice from a bunch of fat-assed armchair sellers. But thanks for your concerns.

For me, it went from personally dealing to nothing - no email queue, no list, nothing.

Personally, I wasn't after the Funhouse since a fellow poster hooked me up with one last year, but $1500? Anyone with one of these emails have a list of what any of the other items were going for? Just curious....

She mentioned that they would accept bids for the other machines, and that they would come back in a similar way (on the Funhouse email). I guess she got ALOT of responses on the FH, to only focus on that machine.

Again, i am only guessing it sold - have no proof otherwise. Maybe someone here has it? Now i am interested to know....

I met with this nice lady last night to pick up a machine and I have to give all of you guys that backstabbed and pissed all over each other a big round of applause. Seemed pretty fucking obvious to me that when it comes down to getting the game you want, the klov love for your fellow member disappeared. Way to go guys, you fucked up real good this time.

Your analogy on this one is dead on phet

I hear ya man. I hate that shit. They think they're helping, but really they're pissing people off.

If they didnt' interfere, the woman would sell the games for what she wanted... so she'd be happy, plus, you'd get the games for a good deal, so you'd be happy.

Instead, now she's paranoid and thinks they're worth more, so when she eventually settles for what somebody will pay, she'll feel like she got screwed over. You won't get your good deal so you're pissed. Whoever buys it won't get as good of a deal so they'll be pissed.

All it does it just breed negativity, these people who do this shit ought to be shot.
