23 Free CRT monitors ....... Would you take them?

Got a chance to test most of them. Here's the results.

3 of the 25" working perfectly, no burn.
1 - 25" Working but won't focus
1 - 25" HV but no pic or raster.

4- 19" working and look good
3 - 19" working but missing a color
1- 19" working chassis, bad yoke
1- 19" working chassis broken neck on tube
1- 19" working but has bad curl
2- 19" working with vertical collapse
2- 19" not tested horrible burn and crap chassis'

That seems like a decent situation for the lot. I'd bet event the crap chassis ones are worth parts to someone.

I ended up with about 60 tubes & frames from a similar situation. The chassis were mostly shot, but tubes generally don't go bad. Not enough room to store them, can't get the locals to take a few each, so they get abused by the elements. One day I will have to start "disposing" of them. Kinda sad, because they aren't being made any more, but I am not going to ship them. Have put out "free - please take them" but all I get is "do you have tube XXXX and have you tested it and what were the color gun strengths and do you have a picture..." Heck, if I did all that, wouldn't be able to give them away for free. Maybe that is the road I will have to take eventually. <sigh>

LOL, Yea but us nut jobs who travel 12hrs down to your place take a few! Thanks for those BTW. I've been using parts a little at a time off them. Most of the rot on the chassis seem to be the pots. The legs break off easy. I figure I'll buy a bunch of replacements and get a few working in the future.

All I need is for everyone who travels to Virginia Beach for a vacation to stop by and let me put the stuff in their trunk. :) Maybe this year I will get my act together and at least test all the tubes. Lots of lugging things around. After the last flood, most of the remaining coindoor stuff became scrap metal. :(

I would take them.
Storing them would be a challenge. I refuse to pay storage fees so would have to make room in the house.

Those monitors are going to be gold someday. Any spare monitors I have go to a buddy with a big storage area.

Glad the OP's monitors were saved.
