Has anyone here done this? I'm trying to squeeze a 21" computer monitor into a standard 19" arcade monitor frame. The 21" is just slightly larger than the 19", maybe 1/2" too long and 3/8" too wide.

I think I remember someone on here saying they got to fit with a few minor modifications. What did you do to make it work?

I'm trying to do this to retrofit it into a game. I need some kind of frame to support the computer monitor's boards, but the monitor's original casing was too big and really ugly.

Agreed, much easier. However, they aren't as close in size to an original arcade monitor as a 21" is.

21" looks almost exactly the same (curve is slightly less, and it's slightly bigger).

mabye take a pair of vise grips and bend the tube tabs out on the frame????

also might be able to take a round file and slot the monitors tabs slightly to gain some extra room.

19" arcade monitors don't have the same mounts as 19" PC monitors.

I mounted my 19" vga monitor into place by bolting piece of metal onto the plastic sides... And supporting elsewhere with boiler strap/hanger wire.
