I got this from my boy wmac. He said it had vertical collapse. He gave it to me for free.

I recapped it.

I am looking at the flyback and see some gooey type of substance on the top (pictured)
Apparently this monitor was working with the listed issue prior to me getting it.

I also shot to photos (bad ones) of where some fuses need to be (I think)
can someone tell me the values?

I intend to take it to his place and test it in one of his nintendos.

I probably can't help with your issue, but if your camera has macro focus, it may help the ones who can help with your issue (i.e. the pictures are too blurry)

so I guess by no response that my flyback is not automatically dead?

If it had vertical collapse, the flyback should be working. Something in the vertical circuit. Cap, transistor?

Here a pic from the flyback I took out of my Donkey Kong Jr recently. I didn't really think the flyback was bad but I just went ahead and replaced it. I'd say it's alright mine got the same junk coming out. I'd advise the person to just replace it if they don't mind paying.

I have the same crap on my 20ez fly. I replaced everything on the chassis but the fly and its still blowing the 300ma fuse. My flyback actually has less goo than yours!
