I have a Bob Roberts audio cap kit for the 20ez, but apparently lost the paperwork with it.. Can someone scan the paperwork in for it? I'm hoping that will put my DK back together

I'm confused. What paperwork is necessary? Just replace the caps on the audio board. They're all marked with their values, so just remove one, read it, and replace it with a matching one.

If that fails, the schematic is readily available online.

I usually work off the paper when doing the kit. I've haven't tried Bob yet, but I'll shoot him a message. I know the sound board is on the monitor chassis, but I'm not sure what section. I haven't looked into it yet. Supposedly the monitor was rebuilt when I got the game about 6 years ago, but the sound started slowly getting quieter so I ordered the kit. I went to turn the game on Friday night, and got real loud screaching and static.. I turned it off and haven't looked at it since. Was planning on getting into it tonight.

Just looked at Bobs page... I guess this is it???

The audio board is the little circuit board that mounts separately to the chassis behind the little board with all the controls on it. There are a grand total of six capacitors on there (IIRC).

What paper are you working off of though? Just that list of values that comes with cap kits? You can make that yourself, just read the capacitors that come with the kit and write the values down.

Oh, and I should mention this - be _very_ careful when you disconnect and reconnect the sound board. Pay attention to connectors JC and JB. They're labeled, and the plugs should be marked too. But the two connectors are physically interchangeable, and if you mix them up, you'll destroy the audio section of the game board.

Cool.. .thanks for the heads up on the plugs..

I like having the checklist also... atleast I have the map though...
