It's autumn, and with it brings the annual MOMA auction. Details found here:

Looks like there is an NOS Space Station playfield for auction, that's one people have be asking for years to be remade (not sure why it hasn't been done). I don't think micro, cpr or outsidge edge does a playfield for it.

Other than a couple of the sitdown Drivers, and maybe one of the newer mega touches, that Capcom bowling in a Frogger cabinet was the only thing that even looked appealing to me. I wish they had an in-person auction again, this online thing really ruined what was a fun fall activity for us. I loved getting drunk in the parking lot, bidding on random games, getting food afterward and driving home with three or four wonderful projects in the back of my truck.

Yeah, those good old days are gone. Remember the IA actions? What a blast those were too. Towards the end of the auction no one had room for games anymore and they were going for around $50 a game. oh yeah the good old days.

Not that i'm driving up there, but what do you guys think of those aracnid dart machines?
My little guy has a magnetic toy set that he loves, i can't bring myself to throw it out.
Besides, he's just the kind of kid that's good at anything throwing related.
It's the kind that sticks in the holes right? So odds of someone losing an eye notably less?

Yeah, I guess I was somewhat interested in those as well. I already have an older arachnid dartboard and it works fine, but doesn't look quite as cool as these. Yeah, for the most part they stick, but if you are a weak thrower, they can fall out quite easily.

They ask a lot for that model on facebook, so the real value is confusing because most older models are pretty cheap.

I have an older Arachnid. Kids can get it to stick if they stand on a chair. I was super concerned about injuries and damages from darts, but ao far, so good. I have it right in the way of a major thoroughfare too. They don't get free range to play it on their own though.

Looking at the game lists in manuals I haven't seen a huge difference between Galaxy (top gun) and galaxy 2. But I'm not a dart player, but for casuals the Galaxy has fun games.

Parts for Galaxy seem to be harder to come by, don't know about Galaxy 2 parts.

IMO Arachnids are better than the Valley Cougar ones because of the monitor and the game variety is much more approachable for average people it seems.

Also, people say that they'd like seating or at least more space to stand when playing darts at my house... Sigh. Where do they think I'm gonna get space for a chair?! That's potential floor space for a game!! =p

*Picks up phone, looks up phone number for a general contractor*

"Hi, do you do home renovations? Yeah, I'd like to expand my house. Uh-huh. No, not adding a game room or a garage. I'd like to increase the square footage for a chair...."

Seriously though, seating is important, just not nearly as fun! ...Although it's probably easier to fix a chair than an arcade game... Hmmm... maybe I should join KLOCC (Killer List of Couches and Chairs)...

I've got the top gun and I agree. It's a great board.

Ugh, I missed this. I would have bought a few items. Probably 2 of the dartboards. My local brewery wants one.

Well, now we know those newer dart games are worth $750-825 on the open market.

Crazy enough, that space station NOS playfield only sold for $225.
