2019-1 jamma board

I don't know why these aren't more popular. The emulation isn't perfect on all of the games I'm sure, but the volume of games on one pcb is crazy. I'd like to see a review/setup of one of these in somebody's cabinet.

i have one and i really like it. the older ones had problems with the hard drive and thats why people shy away from them now, but the new ones work great. ive had mine for 2 years and have had 0 problems with it. nixs who is a member of klov sells them and he is great to buy from. ed

I dont see why people don't just do Mame. It almost seems the community accepts 60/1 or this due to the fact that it's on a jamma board. But no love for Mame. (I understand there is still a percentage of members that doesn't like multi boards reguardless)

Not to dump on the product or your post by any means. But why not a Mame setup that can be ONLY the games you desire.

Valid point, but I have most of my "desired" games already. I have a cabinet that I can throw one of these in and have several games for others to play. This would be more of for everyone else to play than me.

Jamma is plug and play with alot of cabs, MAME is not. It's that simple.

Those sould really cool. Wish I had a horizontal jamma cab.

I have had 4 of these and they all worked just fine, i am a fighting game fan so i checked out all the fighters and as far as i could tell they worked perfectly, even SF3 3S. The last one I had was the 3025 from paradise arcade (where i bought all of mine from), and the only issues I had were with the newest games like MK4, Wargods, and some Tekkens, but I heard that with the newer dual core setup they all run fine. I personally liked having these but i ultimately sold them to buy a dedicated original i found at the time. I will probably build one more to keep when i have all the original games i want. For the cost, and the fact I don't have a 10 acre basement to put all the games i would like to have, these are a great alternative. I highly recommend these systems even though they may not be politically correct around these parts, but i also understand the desire to collect and preserve the original classics, I am after all an arcade addict and have no desire to go to AA (arcades anonymous).

Yeah, it resizes the game automatically when they are vertical and has the black bars on the sides. I used 25" monitors on all mine and when i would play pac-man,it was the size of a 19" monitor, so it looked about right.

How many driving games are there and how do they play? Are they hard to play?

There are a few drivers that i remember, some of the newer ones were ones like Out Run. I didn't really play any of them or the light gun games (as there is not a usb light gun available yet). I would suggest you go to www.paradisearcadeshop.com and download the game list so you can actually see what all the games are, but i can't give you an informed opinion of those games because i didn't play any of them, sorry.

i have mame. it works great and costs nothing.

You got a PC for free? Well played.

For the rest of us, plug-n-play JAMMA X-in-1 PCBs are actually less hassle than a PC, and often much cheaper.

For others: WRT to the board this thread is about: Can you hide games from the selection menu, does it keep coin-up between selections, and does it support 4-player? I'm looking for options for a horizontal multi, options a bit more self-contained than, well, a MAME PC.

the type of PC required to play the vast majority of games on mame? yeah, people do give those away, all the time. i have a pile of them in my basement and never paid a dime. yeah plug and play is less hassle, but you also cant configure it properly or choose your own list of games.

How do these paradise arcade shop boards compare to the other ones out there like Pandora's box and blue elf or whatever they are called? Better, worse, same thing?
