I found a Gottlieb to Data East conversion that has Heavy Barrel in it. I have all the parts to reverse it to a Mad Planets. The only thing I'm waiting on is the Underlay (graphic under the control panel). I guess there is not enough interest to reproduce it yet. It'll have to be just painted black in the interim.

I still have mine, although I have had a number of people asking me if I would be willing to sell it. I spent SO MUCH time refurbing the sideart and it was really hard getting everything "just right" that I just KNOW that I would regret letting it go. To this day, I regret selling off the following games all at once because I didn't think that I would ever have a big enough game room to hold all of my games:

Journey
Reactor
Crazy Climber
Marble Madness
Pleaides
Smash TV (in the rare dedicated 19" upright, similar to Robotron)

Of course, not too long after selling these games, I bought a house with a large basement. As of this moment, I only have Marble Madness on an Ultracade, and a Pleaides board set hooked up on a switcher in a multi-Jamma setup. Not as good as a dedicated setup, but I don't suppose that I HAVE to have a dedicated Pleaides cabinet taking up valuable space. I sure wish that I still had those games, though...

nice! i just picked up a converted Mad Planets last week that's currently a Thundercade and had been a Q*bert at one time. the sides are covered with tolex so i'm hoping the original art is still safe under there.

that being said, i'm not sure how much i'm willing to dump into the cabinet to restore it as a MP. very cool game but the bill would be high. for now it'll likely house my Twin Eagle PCB (which uses the same 2 joy/2 button setup as Thundercade) until i decide what to do with it.
