Before last year, I had never sold a game. Last year, I bought eight and sold four. Sold one on eBay, one on Craigslist, and two through word-of-mouth.
It was an interesting and mostly enjoyable experience, although I did get some of the typical CL shenanigans. One guy wanted to trade a tanning bed for my Donkey Kong, which defies my logic. (Although, I was starting to wonder if I knew anyone who needed a tanning bed.)
There was an old thread (that I can't find) along the lines of, "you know you're a collector when...", and I remember a couple of things were selling games and owning more than one of the same title at a time, both of which happened to me last year. I still haven't managed a trade yet, maybe that will be my goal for 2012.
Happy new year, everybody.
