2011 - July - Last Call - Possible Part Outs and/or Dumped Cabinets.

2011 - July - Last Call - Possible Part Outs and/or Dumped Cabinets. [sorry the July thread didn't get up until July 7, but at least there was the June thread]

Getting ready to smash an original dedicated cabinet you don't have space for? Why not offer it up for free if you can't sell it? It might be a tad more hassle then burning or dumping, but it could be of use to another collector and might actually be restored.

Thinking of parting out a machine worth more dead than alive? Please let us know that, and ask a price in between. Parting out a game is work, and it is nice to help some one else save a game if they can.

* Don't post the for sale thread here. Create a thread if you haven't already and link to it from here.

* Most importantly, after posting in this thread, please give potential saviors one at least 2 weeks (if not longer) to propose an adoption before continuing with the part out.

* Edit your message in this thread and add a comment if the game is no longer available.

* Participation in this thread is voluntary, but highly encouraged.

* Even if a machine isn't working or complete, please offer it up before parting it out.

* If you see another thread about a threatened part-out, and it isn't linked here, you can post it here even if you aren't the original poster of the other thread.

* Posts should be limited to directly to the topic at hand. I'm not looking for any political statements, arcade terrorism, or civil liberty speeches. If you can't play nice in this thread, don't post in it.

Ahh, yes, I thought you were dumping a Star Wars -- makes sense now.

I guess I fundamentally have a problem when a guy who buys a game dirt cheap, rapes it for the perfect monitor, tries to triple his money for 4 weeks (with a shittier monitor) and threatens to part it if nobody will buy it.

I know youre a good guy and I love the fact that youre against parting games, but do you have to shit on everything I offer? I could part it out tomorrow, but I am not. I know someone out there wants to save this game. And truthfully, I dont care how much I make on it as long as I dont lose money on it, thats one line I hate crossing. If it is a game I plan on keeping, I dont care how much I spend on it. If it is a game I plan on playing for a while, then flipping it, its got to be at a price that I know I could turn it around to someone else for. You want it for $50? Take it for $50. The GO7 chassis alone (which has a beautiful picture, given a nicer tube) is worth at least $60.

The cabinet has peeling edges, the bezel art is thrashed, but I know that theres an exidy fan out there that would like to save this game, and it would look real nice with some sprucing up. So therefore, I am not parting/converting it until I know for sure nobody here is interested. If I offered it on CL for $50, thats probably going to be its fate anyway.

I don't remember 'shitting' on any of your for sale threads. I could be mistaken.

This is a "I'm gonna part it if someone doesn't take it" section of the klov.com forum.

yeah I guess I wish I would have bought it from Paul when it was here in sac.

I have a free berzerk cab in Los Angeles. It's mostly just the cabinet but has the front glass, contol panel, mounting board, transformer, back door, some wiring and a few other things. Can definitely be touched up and restored.

Let me know.

Thanks.

Free Tempest

Free Tempest cab in Houston. One of the side has really bad termite damage. Don't know if it's worth anything to anyone, but if you want it come get it. It is bare, just the cabinet. Has sideart but damaged at the bottom.

Super Hang On

I have an empty Super Hang on cab. It's just the base and plastic shroud top. If you want it come get it. The base is solid but it's not perfect. The PCB access door is broken around the lock. The top is both front and back halves without anything but the speakers. If you have one with a water damaged base then here's a good replacement with a small amount of work.

a few cabs in Calgary/Okotoks

Original Saturday Night Slam Masters 4 player (2 2-player cabs attached together) cabinet needs a new home or the owner will be burning it. Currently still has power supply, wiring, 1-sound amps and glass. If I walk away from it I will keep most of that.

I also have 3 dynamo pedestal cabinets in the same boat.

10 - 25-27" tubes a few with chassis. 1 or 2 34" with chassis'.

Couple of old change machines

Tekken pedestal typ control panel that would have sat in front of a 50" projection monitor.
