2009 CAX Atari Panel Discussion Video

I guess this must be pretty boring. I just checked the stats and saw that the first segment was viewed 42 times (maybe not even all the way through) , but parts 2-5 have only been viewed by 5-7 people. I'm suprised, because this panel was packed with a couple hundred people in the audience. It was the biggest crowd of the day. This also happened with the Aaron Giles MAME talk that I posted up. People watched the first 10 minutes, but after that, the fall off was huge.

Don't get too discouraged, I think everyone likes it when you post things like this. In this case, You posted this after I had already gone to bed. I'll be taking alook at it later today.

I was at both of those too. I think its great that your posting these! I need to get the videos to go with this baby. I had the guys autograph it after-words. Should have seen the looks on their faces. I'm such a geek...

Not discouraged. Just looking at the stats. So far, 75% of the people who click on segment 1, never watch any of the other segments. I know it's Youtube, so other non-arcade collectors can be seeing the segment and checking it out, and then not watching the other 4 pieces. It's funny to see that segment 2 has less views that 3, 4 & 5. Are people skipping around? Are they bored after 1 segment? Should I bother?

I haven't had time to watch the whole thing yet, and I bet that's the case for a number of those people.

I snuck in some time at work to watch all 5 segments...very entertaining and highly recommended to any and all who are interested in classic game history.

So what's the real story behind the "hot tub" deal? :)

Thanks Scott for posting...I rarely get to attend the panels during the show itself as I'm so busy running about doing this and that task and trying to do my part to help keep the show running (relatively) smoothly :D ...

It is appreciated!

Jon

See that is discouraged.

I watched them all today. Very interesting and I'm really glad you posted them and every other bit of information you post. I'm going to have to watch them again because it was hard for me to understand some parts.

As for why the weird stats, people probably haven't had time to watch them yet. Also, when I was watching them one of them had a hard time being served. I had to refresh and retry a few times to see it.

Thanks again for posting them.

Also, when I was watching them one of them had a hard time being served.

Dunno if we experienced the same thing, but I was watching on my TV and it crapped out 2 minutes into the 1st one... twice. In the exact same spot. And the way my satellite receiver relies on PC software to serve up the videos, I have no FF or REW meaning I have to start over from 0:00, so I gave up (for now). :(
