Ok I have a guy here who want's to sell me a $200 Joust cocktail.
He claims It Has no Board set, wiring harness or joy sticks. WTB? What The *Beep*
It has monitor/new controlpanel overlays, buttons. And so he says "no water damage."

I'm personally don't like the offer. I guess he's one of those fools who thinks that arcade games are worth $2000.

What do you guys think it would cost to get all the missing parts??

First off, it was a nice joust cocktail exterior-wise, i'd pay $200 for it. Harnesses can be picked up new from Dokert, and boardsets are the same as the upright and easy to get ahold of. The only problem is finding the original joysticks...

I think a guy who really really likes that Joust cocktail table will buy it at that price just for a nice cab. Probably the same person who already has a beat up upright that he could put is guts into.

Am I wrong? I thought the cocktail table was much harder to find? NO? yes?

Yes, as they made about 500 of these versus about 75,000 of the uprights. I've known a few people who would jump thru hoops for one. I got lucky myself...

If the cab was really clean I would jump on that in a nanosecond. That is a very good deal/price.

He says it has new overlays (I'd want to know if they are the plexi or sticker overlays - if not plexi then talk him down). Should also have the door plate and the instruction cards....

The joysticks will be the hardest part to find. They are not the same as the upright joysticks. They are smaller. I would buy it for $200. Hell, when they were available, Phoenix Arcade was selling the CPO's for over half of that. Of course that is if the CPO's that he has are the real deal.

Hm, good point. But I really don't want a game I have not much hope of ever playing...
Why!!!

One scenario where this is a good deal, minus all the stuff that is missing.

Worst case scenario you could put a jamma harness in there and use a jrok board.

If you restore it, and it comes to $200 plus another $300
You will turn a profit upon selling it.

Can't say that very often.

Wait, why would I sell it? I want the game but I don't want to spend that much money.. ugh. Boy I'm a crybaby.

What's a jrok board anyways? I hear that term a lot.

Barncade joust

The joust cocktail that was for sale at barncade sat there for 2 years and never sold.. He finally traded it away.. Seems like it's not as wanted as years back.. Oh well..

You could find Stargate or Defender cocktail sticks and play with those. They'd just be red ball-tops instead of yellow/blue, but they'd work...
