I went to pick up a RoadBlaster's today for $75 (thanks for the lead barakawins)

Turns out the monitor wasnt working, game played blind. Probably something came loose in the cabinet.

But I wound up offering $20 bucks for it and here it is. Figure cant go wrong for 20 bucks.

I'm going to clean it out later and see if I can get it working with my minimal knowledge of repairs. ;) Plan to make it a Marble Madness eventually after some cleaning and if I can find a cheap enough kit for it.

Let me know if you are going to dump the RB kit. I'm checking into picking up a System 1 or a RB around here, preferably cheaply.

Well it no longer plays blind :) Reseated everything, pushed checked all connections and now I have a great picture. Barely any burn in. Only issue now is the gas pedal does not work so when you coin it up cant start game.

Donno if Im going to bother because Marble Madness wont use that anyway. Just have to find a nice MM kit :)

Of note I found a WG k7000 Atari Service Manual, RB manual and an Atari RB schematic inside the cabinet. Although something chewed up the schematic a little. Think it had mice living in it before.....

There was a few kits up for sale on KLOV in the last couple weeks don't know if they sold or not. You might want to check some posts in the for sale section.

For that price, I would definitely keep that game. I would have to have it as a RB, though. I've only played Road Runner once but it was sweet. Very hard though but it was like playing a cartoon.

The MM kits sold. I'm looking for one myself, I just picked up a RB cab FREE. I think the power supply is fried? Lots of static on the screen and in the sound. It's not the board, i tested that in one of my other sytem 1's and it's working fine. Could just be the monitor too? It looks like the original monitor! The boards and frame are filthy!
