I have been wanting an original Star Wars for a very long time (my "Grail" game), but being located Utah, my chances are slim to none without traveling to another state or have it shipped from across the county. But I happened to find a ST ROTJ from a fellow KLOV member for a very good price and I did pay to have it shipped to me. Shipping cost more than the game, but hey it is a Star Wars Return of the Jedi game. I got my game and it was in excellent condition, working and only cosmetic fixes needed. I was happy with just having this game, but I still wanted an original Stars Wars Vector game. Well I just happen to be searching for arcade games in local listings, an arcade owner is going out of business and selling everything he has for $20,000. The photos of the games were taken by a personal cell phone; we all know how bad they can be sometimes. I was looking at the photos and thought I seen a Star Wars sandwiched between two larger games. I called the seller and he was also selling games individually and he still had the SW game for sale. My mind was racing, how could I justify buying another game so soon, I had to ask my wife if it was ok to get another game and she just shook her head and said ,"You have always wanted a Star Wars game, go get it!". It is always a bonus to have a wife that understands the addiction. I had to only travel 77 miles one way to look at the game and make the decision to buy the game. It was in excellent condition; the arcade was only used for private parties and strictly supervised. I bought the game for $800 with everything working and only some cosmetic fixes needed. Wow, what a find and I only had to travel 152 miles round trip. I now have the game I have always wanted, see the pics...

cool story, and very fortunate.

now gut that cab and make it into a chair. ;)

Those two have been eluding me for some time now. I want a SW more but really want a ROTJ.

Nice haul, I love it when these things are saved out of love, and from the grasp of certain death by furniture making, good work...

Great pickups! Do you have any closer pics of the instructions on the bezel of ROTJ? I haven't seen that before. Does the SW have a WG6100 in it or an Amplifone monitor?

Great Score. Looks like its been a good Star Wars month for others too.
Here are the ones I picked up this month.

Do you know what he wanted for the Donkey Kong or the Revolution X? He never called me back. I left a message about these two and the Star wars.

I was so excited to finally have the game I always wanted, so a thorough assessment of what was inside the cab would have to wait till I got the game home, so I loaded the game, and relished in my find all the home. When it came time to move the game down into my arcade room in my basement I removed everything I could from the cab to make it as light as possible for my cousin and I to move it. We found out the original monitor had been replace with a Tempest monitor, 6100, because you can see a slight Tempest burn-in, also the monitor had been recently refurbished and the deflection board was very clean and still in original condition. I will need to install the LV2000, but for now the monitor is very bright, sharp and steady. The power supply has been replaced because the SN is different than the PCB and cab, the SN on the cab and PCB match. I will be posting more pics soon.

Maybe when I retire and need a good reading chair I can convert the game into a recliner and use the power supply for a heater and vibrator for my lower back......not.

More Pics.
