2 person dolly straps

I've not used them for games, but we have a set at work and I know some guys have moved stuff into basements with them. I think I used forearm forklifts on a fridge or something once and they worked great. Not effortless but it took out a lot of the awkward.

Two movers took my Super Sprint base out of the basement with those arm straps. Seemed to work well for them.

(Damn, now I can't remember how I got that machine down into the basement in the first place ... LOL).

I don't know why, but I just can't see this working for an arcade machine. Anyone have a video of it working?

My son and I used the forearm forklifts to move my Suzuka 8hrs cabinet into my basement. My son was on the downward side and I had my brother there with instructions that he was to just pull the cabinet off of whoever it landed on! I had pulled both monitors out to make it a bit lighter and we managed to get it down without it killing anybody. Normally I use a dolly but that thing was so big and I have a pretty tight corner at the bottom of the stairs but it worked out pretty well.

These work. I recently moved into a new house and my gameroom is upstairs, the movers used these to move 8 games up there. They weren't happy about it, but they got it done.

I just used the forearm forklifts for the first time, yesterday. We moved a fridge out and another in. We only had to go up one step, but the turn was too tight for a dolly. I was impressed by how easy it was, but I think a staircase would be difficult with one guy lower than the other.

I have these forearm forklifts, or whatever, I'm pretty sure the package said it's not meant for stairs. Tried to use them on my T2 once upon a time, couldn't figure out how to make the load even taking it down the stairs so we just did it the old fashioned way. Based on the replies I'm seeing here, what did we do wrong? Anyone have a video or tips using these on stairs?

I need to move my Dynamo Air Hockey & T-Mek this weekend from one storage facility to another. Will these work better for loading in the truck (has a ramp) than using a couple of furniture dollys?

I have carried two cocktails down my basement stairs (bilco door) using ratching straps around a leg then up over the top and around my shoulders so that I had the game at waist height lengthwise in front of me.

It was Darwin award level stupid because if I tripped I would be in serious trouble. but I was able to walk down the stairs with it in front of me two different times and not hurt myself.

I will not do it again because third time is a charm.

Anyone use those 2 person dolly lifting straps to move games? Do they work well?

Purchased one. Tried to move a 300-400lb Rowe jukebox, didn't even get it moved 6 inches with 2 people. Regardless of position and 2 people doing it, it did NOT TAKE OFF or balance the weight. 0%

Worst product ever sold.

QUIT. BEING. A. CHEAP-ASS. AND BUY A FUCKING $100-200 MOVERS DOLLY.

that is the moral of this story.

I don't think it's a matter of being cheap. I've seen professional movers use similar straps. The appliance delivery guys use these all the time.

It's not a question of being cheap. We have hand trucks that are $200+. They have straps and extra wheels that come out the back. The problem is there are certain situations you can't fit a hand truck or use a dolly. I had to deliver some stuff for a party rental and had to back up in a driveway and go across a lawn. I was not to drive on the grass or damage the lawn in anyway since it connected to the neighbors lawn. The old ass air hockey is heavy as hell. I also had to move a skeeball, and some other stuff.

I have a pair of the forearm forklifts and also the shoulder dolly straps. I've found the shoulder dolly straps work much better, especially for stairs. You carry all the weight on your torso and legs vs. on your arms. Just my wife and I carried a huge ass armoire upstairs to our bedroom, which was far more bulky than an arcade machine. Never could have done it with the forearm style straps.

100% this ^^^ I have both the shoulder dolly straps and the forearm forklift (as well as a couple hand trucks), and find the shoulder dolly MUCH better for moving games. Your legs do all the work (which are much stronger than your arms), and your arms are free to balance the object being moved. Just moved a 6-player Xmen a couple weeks ago (out of a walkout basement with a singe 32" doorway, and across a 30 deg. grassy incline), and it probably couldn't have been moved by any other means.

I can tell you that when I sold my Atari Kangaroo, the 2 guys that picked it up used the shoulder dolly straps, which put a single strap approx. 6" wide under the center of the game.

I think it took them longer to put the strap under the game and around their shoulders than it did for them to lift it, carry it out the door, down 2 steps, down the driveway and to their truck. I was amazed. They said they move fridges exactly the same way. They moved it like it was nothing.

As have I. We got relo'd in 2016, so we got to see them do the whole thing (load and unload).

Those straps work great - if you are 6' tall and 200 pounds of mover muscle.

Oy! You moved a 6 player X-Men with those?

You should get a medal. Those things are heavy!
