Will pay for the right price service for both.

first monitor i believe it is k7000 but somewhat it says k71xx... anyway. it was working with ugly picture.... i capped em with k7000 capkit from bob and it plays blinds now i noticed the anode cup has two cables .. one goes to flyback and other one goes to some block. I m sure i need to replace flyback.. etc etc..

2nd monitor.. super off road and i believe it is k7000.. i have repair kit from bob ready.. include the cap kits and flyback replacement. I have not done any repair but it doesnt power up at all. I think I better leave this to professional guys!!!

If anybody in sacramento s good enough to fix em up i ll be happy to pay service!!! I just need both to work!! so i can be happy man for the weekend! =)

I dont want to call up one of craigslist guy to come and fix. i prefer help community and may save some dollars off from it!!!.. LMK thanks

PM me please if ure interested to fix. Home service or I can bring em to you in sacramento location!.. LMK

monitor #1, I'm assuming you didn't hook up the G2 wire. well actually on replacement flybacks, you can't hook them up, you actually have to desolder the G2 pin from the neckboard and solder the wire in there. I don't know of the major ramifications of running it with this wire unplugged.

monitor #2, you're probably looking at a bad HOT. when I operate on K7000s I just say F it and replace everything: horizontal output transistor, flyback, voltage regulator, and caps. I threw all of those at a K7000 a couple months ago and it still didn't work... that big white resistor mounted on the side was actually cracked in half lol. without that, you have no B+.

these are all things I'm sure you can handle on your own if you already know how to cap monitors.

er wait, scratch what I said on monitor 1. are you sure you have the correct flyback?

let s focus on monitor 1.

It was working before I capped. I can see someone had repaired on it before i got it. i can see the damages on the end (burns) and bypass wiring them over some areas.. so

It s weird chassis.. I never see the anode cup with two thick red cable!. i ve alway seen one thick cable that attached to the flyback.. im like what the heck and capped it and hoped it would work but BLINDS!!..

so im not sure if I just should buy anohter chassis around here and make it work! easier than just fixing it ?????

as for Monitor 2. I havent done any shit to it!!.. yes i have all parts to replace and will see the result of it later!!!..

you could see the similar picture of two wire on anode cup like this...

but the 2nd wire attached to black brick with gel inside instead of white block.. i dont know what it called

I ll try to pull out chassis tonight and take a picture then post here.. maybe someone can chime in and tell me im idiot! lol

that first K7000 is one of the Zenith-built models. i don't think there are replacement flybacks available for these unless you get something used or NOS.

We need a picture of the chassis to be sure. I've seen 2 different setups with double anode wires.

1. Has the rectangular brick "brightner/capacitor block" flyback which you can replace with a standard K7000 flyback. The brick is usually attached to the monitor frame, not the chassis.

2. The zenith K7000A chassis for which there is no replacement flyback available. These have an ovalish block thats attached to the chassis frame. Also, every K7000A flyback I've seen has large hexagonal adjustment knobs on the flyback instead of the normal ribbed knobs.

I think he has 1.

yeah, he mentioned that it was attached to a black block instead of the white one that can come on the standard K7000's, which is what leads me to believe that it's a Zenith K7000 instead.

OK here is the attachement of picture
.

hope this help ..

someone wrote marker say K7000 25" on frame.. so .. l found the small stickers on the tube says "Tube WG 622107" and there is big sticker being peeled off.

the top u can see the black block being strapped (i putted that way) cuz someone duct tapped on the frame on the wall!! it was loosy so i decide to find a good mount.. hope that s not stupid move lol!

I've seen the black boxes on standard K7000s too.

That looks like a zenith 7000A chassis with the non standard flyback. Bummer.
