I was talking to a guy last night who had two multi games in his basement. Both worked and one just stopped. He carted them to the dump the day before. One was a 6 -1 and the other a 4-1. It's not a busy landfill at all so I'm gonna head there straight from work and see if they are salvageable. We had heavy heavy rain yesterday and last night so I am hoping that they are not made from particle board. If the cabs are shot, I will probably just strip them and take what I can. Will take some pics.

OK, went today and picked them up. As I feared, the cabs were made of particle board and did not do very well in last nights heavy rain. I think I will write them off. Fortunately, they were sealed up pretty good and the insides were protected. They turned out to be 2 Neo Geo's. Anyone have an idea on what these monitors might be. 25" but could not see any writing on the chassis other than what was on the tubes. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas as to what I should do other than strip them, I'm all ears. The wife is going to see U2 on Saturday so it could be a beer and bon-fire day with these old cabs.

People suck. Those would have easily sold at the right price before getting rained on. It looks like the parts are still good at least. There is definitely a market full of people that need parts.

All of my MVS machines have come with a K7000 series monitor. IIRC the K719X (not near them to check).

the one pictured looks a little like a hantrex 900. But the neckboard pots are wrong..

those cabs have been out in the rain for more than a day. more like a few months.. Still the parts might be good..

I thought 60-1's until I clicked on the tread and saw 2 dedicated Neo's. WTF is wrong with people? I hope Keith Apicary doesnt find out about this...

For those of you who asked about what cartridges were in them.

Well, at least you got one good cart out of the bunch. Aero Fighters 3 is a great game.

Yeah, sucks that the cabinets are shot, but those turn up pretty regularly - but you've got a lot of great parts there. Monitors, control panels, boards, etc. Now all you have to do is find a nice solid Neo that was converted to something crummy and you're set!

I am pretty sure the chassis pictured isn a Kortec. It looks like those cabs have been outside for years. One night in rain would not do that much damage.

OK. So I had a little free time tonight, so I decided to see just how I fared out. Neither game had a cord with it so I found a couple in one of my bins. I plugged a couple carts in and hit it with some power. Sounds good from the back, looked at the front and see "Calender error". HHMM. Unplugged and tried again. This time some music and went to look and had picture and sound. Slot 2 on the board seems to be a little distorted with a few any cart I put there. But I played a round of Aero Fighter 2 and all buttons worked as did the coin mech. Tomorrow I will try the other machine.

I just swapped monitors and now it works perfect. Aero fighter 3 is just like one of my favs, Raiden, but someone wants to buy it. What are the chances that you c an get something like DK or PM for this,,I haven't really had time to research the Neo Geo?
