Here's to calm seas, buxom wenches and fairs winds, me buckos.

Damn, Phet, you do fantastic work. Both of those look flawless. Do you ever worry about shipping damage?

Holy moley! Those look brand new! Some of the cleanest arcades I've ever seen.

Thanks for the compliments. They are nice, but certainly not flawless. I stretch-wrapped them last night and will be adding some cardboard here and there. NAVL blanket-wraps them as well, so they should be fine. These are heading to M1A's in SoCal. In fact, these are number 2 and 3 for him, from me. The first was a nearly flawless DK (also shipped thru NAVL), which he says still looks and plays flawlessy a year and a half later. 2 more restored game deals and I believe Todd and I will be legally married in 3 states.

Pristine. Nothing short of....

Looks great. Love the EA!

Why is it that we never see any for sale posts for these? Or am I missing them?

Ditto what he said. I definitely think you could make some decent coin restoring games given your talents. If I didn't know any better, those two games look like they just came off the factory floor. Very professional job as always.

Why do those Taito cabinets have all those exposed carriage bolts? Are they designed to come apart?

What a half assed job. Look at that MM coindoor - it's beat to shit! I can't believe you even want to show that crappy work to the world.

I guess it's okay... for a fecal philanderer such as yourself.:D

M1A, tell him "the check will be in the mail" hehehe.

P.S. I'm just jealous of your mad skills of course. Don't cry too hard.

Yeah looks like there are a few dings in the lower coindoor that I didn't hammer out. I did dismantle, sand and paint the doors in Hammered finish though. I think the dings only show up in the hard natural light. These pics were taken in the direct morning sun. If Todd has an outdoor arcade, those dings may get to him after a while. In the velvety darkness of an electronic amusement parlor, they won't be noticed. There are also a few spots on the kick plate of the EA that I am not entirely happy with. This was stenciled inside during the winter, in relatively dim lighting and I wasn't able to see how (im)perfect my sanding job was until I was able to get them into the natural light. The sides are nearly perfect, the front is just average. As for the bolts on the EA, yeah, the whole cab is held together with metal brackets on the inside, which are fastened to the cabinet with carriage bolts. The coin box is also attached to the inside of the cab in this way.
