It was a good night.. I got my 2nd Dragons Lair running tonight. Its the one on the left. Both machines have the Lasercon card, machine on the left in running a Pioneer 4400. Machine on the right is running a Pioneer 8000, and has the multi rom pbc to run Dragons Lair or Space Ace.. I added extension cables to the Laser player so I could put it on top of the machine. I can swap Dragons Lair and Space Ace disks with ease... Long project for the machine on the left, have been putting together parts for it for the last few years...

I think they look great together. This might motivate me to get the 3rd one working...

Special thanks to Shaun Wood for making the Lasercon and multi rom pcb... Awesome.........

Dear Abby,

Dragon's Lair probably has the most curb appeal of any game ever. I have played the hell out of it and know that if I get one it will get almost no play from me, but I still want one because it's just so damn cool. Is that wrong? Am I a bad person?

Congrats my friend that is one of the coolest thing I've seen in a long time! 3 would put it right over the top!

Thanks everyone...The 3rd lair was a conversion. I have what i need to make it work except a lasercon. This machine will take some time. They cut off the marquee area. I do have the wood pieces to fix that...

Im going to put Space Ace in one of the machines today.. I will post some more pics..

Ok put the Space Ace disk in the multi machine.. Soo cool to have both Dragons lair and Space Ace running at the same time.. I did install power outlets inside both machines, so the disc players would get power from the cabinet, and to leave the Laser player power cords intact...

It's easy to do utube, upload the video, then find the "embedded" data from utube, and paste to the utube icon link on the forum (Above)

So are both control panels original? Is the one on the right just cleaner, cuz it seems might brighter? Would love to see a video of you starting up DLs running at same time...see which one fires up faster and breaks into attract mode first. A Dirk Bench Test if you will.

Control panel on the right has a New Overlay., I have a new overlay for the left one, but have not put it on yet. The machine on the left boots faster. It has the Pioneer 4400. The machine on the right has the multi rom pcb so it has onscreen programming to select the rom set. So I dont really think the Pioneer 4400 is really faster that the Pioneer 8000, just think there is more to load due to the rom selector. Once they are up and running the rate between screens seems about the same. I will shoot a video, prob wont have time until friday..

Very nice, Dan!

I used to be able to beat DL back in the day. I put a lot of quarters in that machine.

I don't think I ever played Space Ace though.

Anyways....they look sweet!

Enjoy.
