I have a couple Indy Heats and 3 PCBs and trying to get them all to work. I have not yet reseated any RAM/ROM's, but before I try that I thought I'd ask the experts.

One PCB works except for the white steering wheel only turns left (in both cabinets)

One PCB seems to work fine until you coin-up. Then it freezes until you reboot.

The 3rd PCB starts out fine, then gets graphically noisy, then when the race starts, the track disappears and you drive on a big blank screen. All of the walls/pits are still there, but not drawn on the screen. The race is the same and I can still win the first one.

So.... what do you think? any suggestions for what might work?

Indy heat has a really good test mode that will test all your chips. are any of your boards able to enter that? If so do that and see if you have any bad rom/ram on them. You press the button inside the cabinet and one of the turbo buttons (i dont remember what color) at the same time to enter it.

As for the white wheel, does it work fully on any board? If no, its prolly a bad optic board. You will need to replace it, but I dont know how/where to get one.

Go to Radio Shack and get a can of "component cooler" and use it to cool off the chips until you can ID which one is the cause of the screen going nuts as it heats up.

Ok, I went through all the diagnostics and every board tested perfectly! no bad ram/roms.

but 2 of the boards actually have issues with the white steering wheel (but it works perfectly on the 3rd board, so the optics are fine).

And 1 board had a scrambled screen for the video adjustment test screen and had some of the tracks missing from the tracks page.

SO.... who knows what ROMs i should replace?

I saw it went for 15$, were you the one that bought it? Seems like a good deal to me. Hope it helps fix some of your problems. Keep us updated.
