Thinking I'll do some laminated plywood layers; fiberglass roving soaked in System 3 epoxy resin between 7/8th plywood. Outer layer will be skinned in 3/4" live oak planking. 3/4" thick marquee & front glass/bezel made from Lexan. Quarter inch welded plate for the CP.

Not sure what to do with joysticks. Need 1/2" shafts...3/8" are too skinny.

Once it's built up it'll be affixed to the concrete sub-floor with some burly 5/8" studs, epoxied into the slab, and bolted down.

Once I have my baby all set it'll be <so cool>, cause then I can keep a baseball bat handy to BEAT THE FUCK out of the god damn thing! I may even put a likeness of Eugene on top as a target, for creating such a monstrously beautiful game.

No, I haven't been drinking. Yet. ;)

I was thinking too small. I like your direction though. Maybe find an old ship building foundry and have it built out of cast iron. Then I can shoot at it too...

That live oak planking will split if it gets dry. You'd be better off using oak plywood.

We made some tables out of it, and it was split-city.

Machine that bitch out of solid billet aluminum.

Reinforce the interior with honeycomb titanium.

Replace the rear casters with some spinners.

Make custom molded carbon fiber control panel.

Use granite slab base precision ground to within 0.00001" flatness.

Install laser levels to ensure proper alignment.

Place in hermetically sealed bullet proof lexan case.

Done.
