2-in-1 JAMMA switcher - tapping the harness for the 5dvc?
I've got one of those common $50 2-in-1 JAMMA switchers like available here:
http://www.jammaboards.com/store/2-in-1-multijamma-switcher-pcb-gbs-8118-gbs-8118.html
It uses +5vdc to function and I was wondering, is it a bad idea to just get that by putting some jumpers and getting it right off the incoming JAMMA harness?
On the face of it I can't see why not but I also wonder why they simply didn't make it that way to begin with, so maybe there's something I'm not getting?
