Cant say that I have ever seen this one...appears to be ok..but w/ a $50 price tag it sort of worries me...with anything electronic you get what you pay for...although it is a pricey alternative to this..the Mike'sArcade switchers are very stout and last a LONG time. Ive had several for many years and have never had a problem......

Similar situation. Nice to find a person who has used Mike's switch.

I am torn between getting that one for my MKI+II or wiring up two Jamma harnsses to two Power Supplies merging the outputs but keeping the power separate and throwing them on a SPDT center off switch.

With Mike's switch are both board powered on at the same time (that is what turned me off about clay's board) and do you know if it has issues with the -5volt line?

Sorry to thread jack if I have hopefully I asked some stuff you were thinking as well.

I believe Mike's power both boards at the same time. I haven't heard anything but good reviews on them and haven't heard anything bad about the -5v.

As much as I want to go for the half-priced 2 in 1 on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-TYPE-2-1-Ja...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item483b8e77b5), I'm guessing I'm going to end up biting the bullet and buying Mike's since there's good feedback on his and no feedback on the cheaper ones on ebay. Plus, those less expensive 2 in 1s look difficult for attaching both boards since it looks so close together. I imagine I'd have a hell of a time plugging both of the big TMNT boards into those slots in a stable fashion.

I don't personally like the idea of having both boards powered up at once. I've tried the 6 board switcher and it worked fine. The relays can get burn out though if the board draws more amps than the relay is designed for but these can be replaced. The board you listed doesn't look like the switching boards that are on jammaboards.com though, so it might be a better option. The ebay seller you posted is a member on these forums. If you ask him to I'm sure he'd test one of these out for you. He's also a collector and enthusiast, not the type of person to sell a bum product.

What and I don't get invited to the party? lol
Jimbodeanny, I'll be in MN in 2 weeks, what do you need :)
osver, yes paradisearcadeshop_com is me :)
R3LL1K, thanks man it's nice to feel some love here.

My switcher, the 2 in 1, I don't really make any money on it, I got a few to try them out, I like them, but there's no profit margin, so it's not good business, and I'm selling off what I have. You can order from China and get the same one, but you'll pay almost the same after shipping and if there's an issue...you won't be able to return it. These have been working fine for me, I actually, and everyone cringe now, threw an icade and a programmable board in one.... As far as ordering from Yaton... if you do the math mine is the same price as his, but with me you get it in 2-3 days instead of 15, and I test mine before selling. And come on guys...help a fellow KLOV'r out, Yaton?

I have a few of the harness based ones arriving in a few days, I'll test them up and let people know what happens. I don't sell what I don't like, it either would go in my machine, or it's not going on my site. I acutally really want the harness based one because you can attach two 1315 in 1 boards and make a system of 2 2 player games or 1 2 screen four player that flips back an forth with the push of a button.
****I just went through all the old posts, and yes I know these harnesses start with Yaton (but it still irritates me he posts things as "in Canada" on Ebay but sends everything from China), I'm going to be testing 100% and will eval for making a few mods to get these up to spec if I have problems!****

An finally Mikes, I have not used this one but it seems nice.

If you do run hot all the time though, some extra circulation won't hurt. I know that my switcher will keep both boards on at all times. I am working on getting 200 watt PS's for the future if I carry these switchers regularly

That's my 2 cents. And as always, you can email me, pm me, hell I'll even give out my phone number if you have questions, but no phone calls before noon est, Hawaii is a bit behind!
Here's another one I found: http://www.arcademvs.com/ARCADE_ACESSERIOR.htm (the 2 in 1 with remote). Has anyone had experience with this one?

Great to hear you're selling those, I 'll have to order one soon.
On the one with the VGA out, can you use a VGA monitor instead of an std res monitor?

Yes, I have. It sucks.

But in all fairness, it might be OK if you use it for 2 JAMMA games that ARE NOT JAMMA Plus (meaning no kick harnesses or P3/P4 harnesses), and also if your boards dont require -5v, since there are no traces linking -5v on the switcher.

Since you are using it with TMNT boards (I'm assuming the 4P versions), I'd stay away, unless you have the skills and (a hell of alot of) patience to hack this thing into working properly.

My experience with this one BTW was trying to make it work with an MK/MKII setup, and I have the whole thing documented on my YouTube channel if you care to check it out. Its a 2 parter though so grab some popcorn if you watch it.

I bought this harness from welove80's to try for my Golden Tee/ World Class Bowling and I can't get it to work either. It will switch between the two boards but no buttons will work.

Dont those games have a seperate input for the trackball? Had I known you were using it for those 2 games I would have mentioned that.

Yup, the trackball isn't the problem I split it. It's the start and the turn buttons. No big deal, I'll try it on something else eventually.

My plan is to just tie/loop both sets of 3p/4p harnesses from each board together and run them to the 3p/4p controls. For example, the 3p harness on both TMNT boards will run to the same set of controls for player 3. I don't see any reason why this simple method wouldn't work so that's the plan for now.

If you have a single board connected to the Jamma harness do the buttons work then?
