Hi,

Ive been moving games , and buying games 2 at a time. I usually fit 1 standing and 1 laying down. I see you guys can stand both of them up. How do you guys do it? I have a hard time with the 2nd game. I have a reg Ford ranger.

Games

Slide the first one in then stand it up. Slide the second one in then stand it up as you are pulling it in the rest of the way in the truck. Same thing for the third and fourth one just it is not as fun.

Here's one from last September...

We had all five games standing up in the back of the truck and had room for one more(two or three more if we left the tailgate down I suppose). It really helps to have help who knows how to lift heavy stuff and isn't afraid to get dirty. The first three are pretty easy but then you start running out of room to lay them in the bed and stand them up... basically by the fourth or fifth game you are just sliding them up and in the bed at a slight angle and standing them up. At this point a third person would *really* help. :)

Did ICE ever fix those coaster games? I heard they were all locking up and vending guys were all pissed off about it.

Before I got my lift and a better truck to accommodate arcade games, I would do the standard tilt em on their back, then stand them up in the bed. Sometimes, I could tilt the hand truck back enough and clip the rear of the game on the tailgate and bypass the back sliding all together.

The first truck I had was a 1988 Nissan pickup (shortbed). I could get three 19" upright cabinets max...

Second Truck was a short bed 2002 F-150. I could get four max standing up. Two on the tail gate side by side.

Most current hauler is the 2003 Dodge longbed quadcab heavy duty 5.7 hemi w/ rack and lift. I can fit 8 games standing up w/ the gate down. 6 comfortably with the gate up.

Regardless of how many games you haul....only use the best quality ratchet straps. Remember to strap pulling the weight forward, then counter strap pulling weight toward rear. You'll get better coverage, and will have a lesser stressful time driving. nothing more annoying that having to look in your rear view mirror 5 million times because you don't trust the straps.

People that use motorcycle straps, or bungee cords are asking for trouble.

Here's a recent one... Not my games, unfortunately. I'm just hauling them for a friend. Loaded similarly to others here. First one in on its back, then stood upright. Second one is the same procedure, just a little tougher. The third is really rough, a lot of times I slide the game up and out over the side of the truck bed then straighten it out and stand it up.

In this picture, the third cabinet (Joust) is empty, and was slightly less back-breaking to load than usual in this configuration. I move games like this all the time, and that third game never gets any easier. LOL
