Picked up 2 games today.

First is a Pengo. Fully working. Needs a cap kit and a CP overlay (anyone have a CP or an overlay?). damage to the upper left corner (nothing some bondo wont fix). Sideart mostly complete on one side, missing parts on the other. (sorry about the pic quality). Kids love it!

Second game is some sort of redemption game. It is missing the computer, but has a couple of boards in it (one is the sound amp, see below), the other... not sure. Anyone know what this really is? Have a manual? I picked it up to build a MAME-type cab. Monitor needs to be fixed (in the monitor forum):

Price for both games was right...

Cool. Thanks for finding that.

It has a keyboard and mouse (trackball) connected. Power is in there and connected to the external power switch. Monitor handles both VGA via a regular cable and arcade connector.

Not sure I want to restore it to its original glory, but I do want to put a 'puter in there.

It appears that it came from Illusionz when they shut down...

I am not familiar with Illusionz...

It looks like a good candidate for a virtual jukebox...

Illusionz was an arcade/CEC-like place here in Issaquah... it went out of business just before I got into games, so I missed the auction...

A bit big for a jukebox. :)

Well, I intend to build a jukebox with a 19" horizontally mounted touchscreen within a cab in the future. The plan is for it to blend in with the rest of my games - stealth since none of the arcades I visited BITD had jukes in them. I already have the ts (got one from Saltbreeze) and I am currently torn between building it out of a classic Williams cab or a classic Stern cab.

The whole project is pretty low on my list of things to do though...

I picked up one from Saltbreeze too.

I am actually thinking of a small 15 or 17" LCD one in my gameroom as the stereo is there and takes less room.

Nice score, PENGO is a GREAT underappreciated game. Thinks there was a recent post about repro CPO I think...
:)

..

Pengo is awesome...
Use to be a super rare game, actually I think I have $800 into mine.
Bought it in the late 90's.

I would recommend the JROK highscore save/multigame for it (which runs regular pengo and popcorn)

The auction at Illusionz was a pretty good one. If you were into driving and redemption games it was great. Plus when they finally got to the dead games there were some great deals. Most of the classics went for top dollar. Only thing I was bidding on was a lot of pins in a backroom closet. Thought that they were out of the way enough but the price went a bit high. Looking back I wish I had bought a few of the other games instead
