Samsung Model#CT-505LD & RCA Model#F20631SE ! The RCA has extra numbers on the tube?

Tube swapping again...

Samsung Model#CT-505LD Tube#510UXB22 Prod. May 1983 = CR25

Nice looking dial type with the fake wood grain and looked promising but a CR25 Darn, darn & darn.

-----

RCA Color Trak Plus Model#F20631SE Tube#A51ACG32X02 Prod. Sept 1993 = CR23

I plugged this one into the wall and hooked up comcast and it looks awesome!

So my only question is, what are the "2" extra numbers for on the RCA?

This is a 20" tube, so it doesn't really matter, as it won't be good for tube swapping...

Yep 21 inches diagonal I guess the 20 in the model number was a dead give away. This must be the 15th tv I have brought home in the hopes of getting some good tubes.

I have found two so far that have matched up. Then out of one of those two, one of the color guns was gone.

So 1 tube in two or three years that's a good candidate. Err

I do at least have that one bolted up with a go7 chassis and ready to be capped then converged.

I am not giving up because these old arse games look like ass with burnt tubes. So I will do the rounds next weekend looking again for more swap material.

Actually, the A51 in the tube number was the giveaway.

I take a small flashlight along with me when I go look at TV's. I shine it in the vent in back to see if I can see the label on the tube (looking for A48 = 19") and then down at the neck to see if it is narrow (CR-31) or wide (hopefully cr-23).

If you print out the BK Precision setup guide (or at least all of the A48's), it will help you figure out what you have before you buy...
