So I'm looking inside my Food Fight cab that was converted to a Perfect Billard by the previous owner, and I noticed that there seems to be 2 transformers inside there...
It looks like the normal 'big blue' one and another one mounted behind it.

Also it looks like alot of the wires coming off the big blue one have been clipped off.

there is another black box mounted half way up the side of the cab that looks like it is a voltage switching box or something like that.

Seems like a pretty weird set up to me, is this kind of normal?

The big transformer would likely be the supply transformer for the original game PCB. The little transformer is likely the isolation transformer for the monitor. If wires look to be cut on the big blue, then be sure fuses are not in place which supply to it (10.3v?), very likely the box half way up the cab is a switching power supply and they either just didn't remove the old power supply transformer or it's still supplying some power (like to coin door lights for instance).

The isolation transformer definately is needed if using the older monitors, I'd leave it in place regardless, doesn't hurt to use even when a monitor has one built into the chassis.

If everything is working fine, just check to make sure cut wires are taped off, maybe clean up a bit.
