2:19 video of bad video (20EZ)

First thing you need to do is adjust the H sync and or possibly the V sync. Get the picture to stop rolling first. Then adjust the screen best you can with the H and V width pots. It appear you may have a possible fold over issue which the cap kit should fix.

Thank you *VERY* much for the input!

Caps should be here tomorrow. I may even try and discharge/pull the monitor if I get enough other stuff done before I have to come in for work!!

Thanks again.

I'd double check that the mointor is actually connected right too. I dont see a lot in the way of white in that video which tells me that green either isnt working or isnt connected. Some of the patterns almost look like the colors that are present are being driven by the SYNC output from the board. This could easly happen if a connector was forced on backwards or if the harness is hacked and wasnt put back together correctly.

FWIW, it does look like it needs a cap kit so thats a good start.

Cap kit installed... Monitor still on the bench with the boards out! LOL.
Hopefully I'll be able to get it put all back together before noon... but it's 3:30 AM now, so who knows - I do need to sleep at least a little bit.
I did the pots while I was in there as well.

I'll post results when I have them.

Thanks!!!!

OK... The monitor is back in, hooked up, and plugged into the wall, but not working at all now...

Kidding.

It is back in, and "working". The colors look much better now, but I'm not getting anything discernible as far as shapes, or characters or anything. Just fast scrolling lines that change color slightly when the game switches screens (attract demo, HS, Title, play). I'm guessing it's a sync issue, but haven't played with any adjustments much yet.
Before I did the cap kit, it seemed to take 3-5 minutes before anything would "clear up", so it's on now and running while I type this.
I'm heading out to take a few more pics, and see if I can adjust anything in.

Anything in particular I should do or try next?

Thanks...

SUCCESS!!!

Well, for the most part anyway. I adjusted the HHold on the main monitor board, and that brought the picture in quite clear, but still scrolling pretty badly left to right.
Adjusted the Vert. Hold on the auxiliary video board (next to the audio amp), and it came right in. Adjusted the colors a bit, and she looks GREAT!
Except for the freakin' gnome that must have gotten inside the tube while I had the boards off last night that's pulling down the left side of the screen! It's barely a half inch, wide, but it pulls the video down by a good inch, inch and a half.
The good news is that it does not affect game play, and in the 2nd level, you barely even notice that it's there. I'd still like it gone though!

From what I've been reading, and saw before the cap kit, I don't think it's "fold over" (or under), it honestly looks like something is just tugging straight down on that side of the screen.

Hopefully I'll get flamed for asking such a stupid question that should have been found already answered 10 times before with an easy fix! (is that a good thing to hope for?) :-D

Well, I have to get to work, but I'll be on an extended lunch in a few hours. Hopefully I'll have it fixed before I have to go back in for the rest of the night!!

Thanks guys!
