Hi everyone... Thougth I would post my first pinball experience. I picked up a High Speed off craigslist two nights ago and last night I decided to open her up. I removed the glass and lifted the playfield and looking at wires, coils and bulbs I was excited like a kid on christmas morning. I changed my first light blub and a fuse for the beacon, had a beer and just had a great time doing it. Looking forward to getting her all cleaned up and back in tip top shape. Never thougth I'd be having this much fun already. Thanks to everyone who contributes all the great info on this site as I've been learning so much from it. mike

Awesomeness. People don;t understand that sometimes a person can actually have just as much if not more fun fixing these than playing them. I think it's odd, but I'm one of those people ;)

Welcome to the madness.

I tend to be the same way. While I enjoy playing the games, theres just something special about getting them to the point of working 99.99%

And welcome clooney72! You did things in the right order too. Bulb first, then beer ;)

Welcome. I'm another that has spent many more hours fixing pins than playing them. And I actually don't mind for the most part. I really enjoy working on them.

Ahhh, sweet. I was hoping somebody legit got that High Speed, I hate seeing a pin for $100 one day and $750 the next on CL.

Glad you're enjoying it, glad to see another Long Islander around these parts too.
