Well i thought when i picked up this non working pin that i would be posting tons of questions on here, but thats not the case.I may have over paid ,but it was the only pin i could find in my price range,so i bought it for $400.00.I got it home and plugged in all that was unplugged. When i turned it on,nothing. The light on the mpu board didnt flash,it just stayed on solid.I then started unplugging stuff trying to maybe isolate the problem to a particular harness,as luck would have it when i unplugged the sound board the game came to life.Everything worked but the sound, just for the heck of it i studied the sound board ribbon cables and noticed pin 1 on the sound board didn't used to go to pin 1 on the mpu.Plugged it in matching pin 1 to pin 1 and we got sound.
So all in all i feel i got a great pin for my money. The playfield isn't too bad,the backglass has some chipping, but again, not too bad.I ordered some cleaner and wax,as well as rubber kit,new bulbs and a ball.
The last pin i owned was an f-14 tomcat, this pin is far from as exciting as that one,but it feels great to have a pin as part of my collection again.
