I had to share my exciting (for me anyways) new addition.
I am guessing this is the first new piece of screened Pac-Man cocktail glass since the originals were made.
First off, full disclosure: the table is obviously not an original Pac-Man cocktail. It is simply a Pac-like Multigame that was newly made a few years ago out of a particular laminate to fit into my office and not a nice dedicated machine like I keep in my home arcade. It was made to the specifications of a Ms. Pac but I decided after the fact that I would rather it feel more like a Pac-Man as I have more nostalgia for that game and its artwork. The table runs an Arcadeshop multi board that boots up to Pac-Man, that way it can play all old Pac games up to Pac & Pal.
The table has had custom made Pac-like CPOs, a restored Midway coin door and a custom Pac-Man underlay but the lack of screen printed glass had always been a missing piece of the puzzle for me. The two-bits underlay was NEVER and option for me as the art is too different from the original with none of its charm. After a few years it FINALLY has a newly screened glass top. The newly created art is correct to the original with the caveat that the instructions were shrunk down to accommodate the different control panel shape of the Ms. Pac. I'm sure some will find this a pointless addition as the machine isn't even an original Pac, but I look at it every day and my office and it makes me happy so there you go.
I should point out that for the normal, silly, legal reasons I haven't said where the accurate artwork came from and who did the EXCELLENT screen-printing directly on the glass; so don't ask but speculate away!
I hope some of you enjoy seeing this correct art screened on a table as much as I do.
