I'm trying to find out what the first game was that had a continue feature. Was it Atari's Football game, where you could add extra time with more credits?

Ah I forgot about Space Wars. Excluding Space Wars, what was the first game to have a traditional continue feature? Were there any other non-traditional continue features between Space Wars and the first? All the other games mentioned were from early 1980's.

yeah... think I told you the story when my best friend and I planned on putting $5.00 in the game at one time. around '80, we talked about it all the week before at school.

Fri. nite came. bussed to Land of Oz... got kinda burned out after 8 minutes or so of continuous play.:p

Are you talking about the Land of Oz in the Westminster Mall?

Chris

The notes in MAME say Scramble was the first game with a traditional continue, in February 1981. Super Cobra came out a month after, and Vanguard a few months after that. Moon Patrol came out the following year.
