I've been hunting for my 1st arcade restoration project and I think I found something, but I'm hoping someone can help me out with a few questions. Pics below.

I found a Police Trainer someone is selling. It is apparently working/monitor is fine, etc, but rough (missing back panel). It looks like this is a Dynamo cab, right? 25" monitor? Given this limited information, what would a fair price for this be?

I'm planning to check it out tomorrow and wondered what things I should look for when inspecting it.

I'm not thrilled about Police Trainer, but being a Dynamo cab it looks like I have lots of options as far as converting this goes.

I want to say dynamo hs5, but hs5 normally has a pull out drawer. Cabinet is setup like the 19" hs1. So maybe someone shoved a 25" monitor into a hs1?

I think you may be right. The dimensions for an HS-1 are 75"Hx28"Wx36"D, and the person has the dimensions as 73"Hx25 3/4"Wx33"D. A little off, but when compared to the HS-5, which is 30" wide I can't see someone's measurements being that off.

So obviously I'll want to play it to make sure everything works. Anyone with tips on what issues/problems to look for? Particularly monitor related.

the starting bid on it is $144.00 :) they have been trying to sell it forever.

I take it then that price isn't that great for what it is?

I'm still trying to get a handle on figuring out what stuff is worth when it comes to working vs. non-working, cab only, monitor issues, etc.

If you want the cabinet, that isn't a bad price. The Police Trainer stuff usually have some decent resell value. If he can't get $144, offer $120 cash and see what he says or even $100 and work your way up.

the red looks a little weak on it. if you look at the left edge of the screen there should be a red line on the wall. It looks pretty washed out.

So if you can see it before you buy it might be a good idea to see it.
