1st Arcade/Monitor Repair Party of the New Year, Jan 2nd (Central, NJ)
I'm throwing an Arcade/Monitor repair party on Sunday, January 2nd
from noon until whenever at my home in Howell, NJ.
I have plenty of room indoors between the basement and kitchen table/island
for at least 6 to 7 monitors to be fixed at once.
They'll be beer/chips/soda/pizza for all.
I have Burgertime, Star trek SOS, a Multicade, Gorf, Jr. Pacman, Gyruss, Dug Dig,
and Black Widow running in the basement currently. I hope to get Missile Command,
Tempest, and Centipede down there before the 2nd.
Several local experts will be in attendance (EagleTG is one) to help
people learn how to do cap kits, repairs, etc.
Plan on bringing your nonworking monitors, ar boards, power supplies, cap kits, or
whatever else you need help with. Don't bring an entire cab unless you want to work in the
cold garage by yourself
. I am not a parts depot so make sure you pick up a deluxe cap kit
or the parts you need from Bob Roberts. If you have a soldering iron & multimeter, bring them.
We'll have some extra but probably not enough for everyone.
For you football fans.. We'll probably have a bowl game on.
Everyone is welcome to attend!
If you are planning on attending, please RSVP by 12/31/2010 via PM to me.
Include your real name, contact number, when we can expect you,
and type of beer/soda you like. I'll send out my street address to those
that RSVP.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
