1st Arcade/Monitor Repair Party of the New Year, Jan 2nd (Central, NJ)

I'm throwing an Arcade/Monitor repair party on Sunday, January 2nd
from noon until whenever at my home in Howell, NJ.

I have plenty of room indoors between the basement and kitchen table/island
for at least 6 to 7 monitors to be fixed at once.

They'll be beer/chips/soda/pizza for all.

I have Burgertime, Star trek SOS, a Multicade, Gorf, Jr. Pacman, Gyruss, Dug Dig,
and Black Widow running in the basement currently. I hope to get Missile Command,
Tempest, and Centipede down there before the 2nd.

Several local experts will be in attendance (EagleTG is one) to help
people learn how to do cap kits, repairs, etc.

Plan on bringing your nonworking monitors, ar boards, power supplies, cap kits, or
whatever else you need help with. Don't bring an entire cab unless you want to work in the
cold garage by yourself:). I am not a parts depot so make sure you pick up a deluxe cap kit
or the parts you need from Bob Roberts. If you have a soldering iron & multimeter, bring them.
We'll have some extra but probably not enough for everyone.

For you football fans.. We'll probably have a bowl game on.

Everyone is welcome to attend!

If you are planning on attending, please RSVP by 12/31/2010 via PM to me.
Include your real name, contact number, when we can expect you,
and type of beer/soda you like. I'll send out my street address to those
that RSVP.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Great idea--wish I could attend. Coincidentally, I just made plans that day to take my Omega Race chassis to the one guy in a year that I've been able to find who knows them inside and out and will fix my spotkiller issue for me while I wait.

Hope to make your next one.

Just trying to get some folks over the first cap kit hurdle
and get us Northeast pople to socialize a bit more.

Spyridon.. I have a 55" HD lcd right off the kitchen for your
Football viewing pleasure:)

I'm local but I don't really fix anything, though I'd be interested in coming and playing games and hanging out.

Bump for a new week! Merry Christmas all.

The Dri-Core is down and I am almost done running 5x 20 amp
circuits to the basement. All the games should be humming
by tomorrow night ready for the arcade/repair party on Sunday.

I might even get the basement painted Robotron Blue before
party time.

So far I've gotten 2x RSVP's. If you a planning on coming,
make sure you PM me before Friday.

Thanks,
Mike

This is a really cool idea. I'd like to attend for the learning experience even though I don't have anything to cap. I'm probably going to be needing a cap kit on my brain that morning, though. ;)

Maybe next time if it happens again.

I have a couple B&W vectors that I need to work on. I don't see an Asteroids or similar in your lineup though so it will be difficult to test. Otherwise, I'd try to make it up there.

Actually I do have a working asteroids. Its in the garage for restoration
but we can get in running in a few minutes. Bring the B&W's.

I'd like to get up there sometime but we have family visiting in the area over the Holidays so I'm pretty much grounded right now. Thx for the invite though!

Unable to attend, unforeseen conflict. Everybody Wang Chung that night.
