So, picked up this monitor and it wasn't working, ordered a cap kit but I'm stuck sitting on my hands waiting for it so I pulled the deflection PCB and found R101 failed so I removed and jumpered R100 and R101 and it powered up and worked! Though the caps in the spotkiller are causing the image to cut in and out, that's fine, cap kit is on it's way.

After a short period of time I could smell something burning up so I grabbed my thermal camera and could see R912 and R913 were HOT. Pulling the HV section I could see R908, R912 and R913 were turning black; any ideas why these might be burning up?

Do I just need to replace them and wait for the cap kit and that should take care of it?
