19v2000 Asteroids deluxe playing blind, what's the best course of action...

well this bad boy is 100% playable and looks great.

I am going to add the stuff from bob as a precaution. I may keep this one for awhile. The cab looks as good as any original game I have ever seen.

I will report back after my installation of parts results in me having a non working game. :)

...........

.......Good to see this wound up in the right hands and functioning now (I'm 99% sure you got this from Billy who got it from me, right?).

Enjoy.:)

........

I really wanted to get that one working and put the multi/HSS kit in it, but had to make some trades to get other stuff going. The colors and sounds just are too friggin' cool with the kind 3D effect. Well, maybe someday I'll get it from you along with that Super Off Road w/Track Pack (lol).......

......I wonder what other stuff I have/had you will eventually wind up with?

Arabian or Rampage (come on, come on..) ?

-GackAttack :)

those games would be 'tradable' but you are going to have to pony up something decent, like that d2k. :)

OK I pulled the filter caps and the new ones bob sent only have 2 legs vs 3.

No problem I've seen this before, but the 2 legs only fit in one way, and it puts both legs in the negative 'grid' with neither leg going into the positive 'grid'

Do I just plug it in the way it fits?

No, don't just plug it the way it fits. Make sure the negative side of the cap goes to the negative contact on the board and the positive side of the cap goes to the positive contact on the board. You checked the orientation before you removed the old cap, right?

yes I got it. For some reason (my clouded perspective) I kept looking at the original negative side and realized that the cap wouldn't stretch from there to the positive side.
If I go to the 3rd hole (in the negative area) the other side will then stretch to the positive.

Just me not paying very good attention.

thanks guys

ok got her all fixed up and back together.
works flawlessly

thread over, thanks. :)
