Okay, so I've been working on my Asteroids monitor all day now. I thought I had a 19v2000 monitor as marked by the wells gardner sticker on the tube frame. Turns out that the previous owner gave me a g05-802 deflection PCB! (The HV PCB is still wells gardner).

Now I heard that the g05-802 and v2000 is practically interchangeable, but here's my question: Is the pinout for the 12-pin molex going from the game to the monitor (P100) the same for both monitors or do I need to swap some pins to get this to work? Don't wanna blow anything up before I power it on for the first time!

19v2000

P100 is the same but depending on what issue of 802 deflection pcb you have,p500 is different. Specifically pin 4 and 5. There are a couple other mods you have to do depending on what issue or version you have. Mark Spaeth wrote a doc. on this years back and it is still floating around. I found it the other day. If you find it, post it here for others to use.

Hate to resurrect an old thread, but those links are dead.
Anyone have the pinouts for ast dlx deflection board swap?
Looking for info on swapping pin 4 and 5

The black and white vector monitor FAQ is available all over the Internet. Just google for it. I don't know about the other link but I know there is some discussion in the FAQ about the different deflection board types.
