what is the difference in the 19n1 a and b? i have a b board and defender sucks joystick is used for reverse and thrust i could fix that but then robotron ect would not work right. is the a board the same? whats diff?

thanks Paul

The BIG difference between the A and B board is that the Hyperspace (button 5) and Inviso (button 6) don't work on the B board.

A and B board are the same as far as gameplay and the problem with joysticks/button issues when changing between games like Defender and Joust/etc (Robotron would still work right if you have two joysticks).

Read this thread about control panels and the 19-in-1:

Have any of the control issues been addressed in the current batch of 19:1 boards?

Lots of guys are floating these boards around recently but there's no word if they even work right. I think your review's final concensus is that it's fine if you basically dissable all of the games with control issues and use it for a JAMMA replacement for just a few games.

I've considered picking up a B version and having it run only Ghosts N Goblins, since it's cheaper to get. I'm the only one who'd know.

But the last e-mail I got a couple days ago confirmed the B versions still have that problem. Apparently, the B makers just copied the software to their existing 60-in-1 design, while the A makers actually changed the board design to allow for the 2 extra buttons...

I am just mainly interested in VS Mario and a few others, so this looks like this will work for me for what I want.

Thanks for breaking it down for us!
