I have a 19k4655 monitor I am having a horizontal position problem.
I need to shift the image up on the screen but the VR202 Hor pos adjustment
(on interface board) doesnt do anything and I cant for the life of me find..

J608 on the main PC board (horizontal raster adjustment).

Any suggestions? Any idea where to find J608? I need to move it
up about an inch.

Thanks,

It's a jumper. Some versions of the 4600 don't have it. I'd have to see a pic of your chassis to know whether yours does or not...

Okay where should it be? on the main PCB to the left of the neck?
or the right of the neck?

Lets say I dont have it.. Any suggestions on how to correct the
Hor. position problem?

Thanks,

See the last page of this manual:

Early k4600 main boards did not have the vertical and horizontal raster position jumpers.

The P317 and P318 video interface boards with the built-in horizontal position adjustment pot will not have that function work on early k4600 main boards because the main boards don't have the necessary parts.

Okay so I have the 3 pins they show on my board but I dont have the jumper wire
that comes from the interface board.

Looks like I have a P317 board.. stamped on the board.

What is my next step? Figure out if the POT is bad? Any other suggestions?
Cap the whole thing for the heck of it?

Any suggestions on where to go from here? I am still very new to monitors.
Waiting on the Fromm dvds to show up in the mail:)

The raster position jumper doesn't actually come from the interface board, it comes from elsewhere on the main board - the horizontal width coil, IIRC.
