I am new at attempting any arcade projects, and I was wondering if I could get some direction as I try to put together a 1986 Taito Gladiator. I have the PCB, bezel, and marquee. I have no cabinet or monitor.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what type of cabinet - and where - I should get? What about a monitor? I do have a Jamma adaptor for the board, as I once plugged the board into my Street Fighter II Championship Edition. Still, I would love to make it a stand alone arcade piece. I guess I can always try to buy a complete game, too, if I could find one. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the help.

Well, Gladiator was sold as a kit so any golden era cab could have been converted to one. I say watch craigslist for a cheap conversion and grab it. That should provide you with the cab and a monitor. I suggest a 19" monitor, I don't think the game looks good on a 25". You should take your marquee and bezel with you and verify they fit the cab. Many of the old conversions required cutting down the artwork in order to make it fit. If your art has been cut down and the full size stuff would have fit the cab it will never look right.
