1983 Topps Arcade Gum Display Box - just $995

How much would you offer of these?

To be honest, I've never seen a complete box of these for sale before.
So you get 24 little arcade machines so that is about $41 each, plus the displace box. Which I have seen sell twice last year for around $50.

Thoughts/Comments?

AFAIC, he can name his price until someone comes along with another complete box in that condition. Sure, it seems ridiculous...but, if he's not in a rush to sell, why not ask a grand? He might get it; crazier things have happened.

I remember these. I got the Donkey Kong one and had the little game-shaped box for years.

True that... if he (she) can get $1k, why the hell not.. more power to 'em.

(Thats still some stale gum though...)

It's gross even thinking about it.

We know where this is eventually gonna end up, though: in some relatively well-off individual's glass display case adjacent to their arcade...

How about this mister...I'll give you $50 if you'll chew some of that 40 year old gum and not destroy the neat boxes

I'd pay $100 for the whole lot if I was really excited about it. I can't imagine someone paying a grand, but if they do and they're happy so be it.

Let's see, I can spend $1K and get a pinball machine, an A-list arcade title, or a few B/C-list titles OOORRRR, I can get a box of stale-ass gum and put it on a shelf and look at it. Hmmmm.... Decisions, decisions.

I have this one that is almost complete

That's a pretty rare find. I offered $150 but it was declined.

Yeah, I would probably offer $200, but know it would be declined.
I think they should've posted it as an auction and just see what happens, let the market/auction determine it's value!

But I would still love to add to my collection
Steve
