I have the Moon Patrol upright console and I was hoping to find out as much as possible about it. It is intact although it's previous owners did not preserve it very well. So, please, any comments, advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Great game - one of my favorites. Here's the flyer from the company:

And some info from this obscure Klov site:

:)

Pictures always help to focus the abuse, I mean helpful comments :).

Seriously, a few photos of the cabinet and the interior wiring/board layout will help to give you some idea how much effort will be involved in restoring it.

Also, if you go to the 'User CP' and add some basic information, like where you are in the world (city, state, country (if not US)) helps a lot. You may find there is a collector just down the street from you who might be willing to help.

Good luck. Moon Patrol is a fun game. I enjoy mine.

Hmm. I looked it over again and based on what I've seen, I don't think it's the original cabinet. The wiring and interior appear to have been disconnected. But, I will post some pictures within the next hour.

That happens all the time. Operators that had these machines in public regularly converted them to something else once they stopped making money. It's easier to slap a new board and marquee on than purchase a whole new machine.

I agree that Moon Patrol is a great game. Mine was a half-empty shell when I got it. Most of the parts are readily available to bring one back to life.

Welcome aboard BTW.

Just drove through Fort Smith last week. I would have liked to have stopped and played MP instead of the real life battle of driving I-40 in a snow storm. Great game!
