Hand vectoring is the only way to go if you're looking for true accuracy. If you're not so particular, auto-trace away.

+1 to this... Programs just don't do justice or have the human eye. Especially text should not be vectored.

Rich's video was pretty wild. I've always been curious as to how shirts like that were produced. Is that screen printing? I know nothing about this stuff.
