Now that is pretty fucking awesome. That's the kinda shit I am talking about. I KNEW THERE HAD TO BE MORE PROMO SHIT FLOATING AROUND OUT THERE. Way to step up and find it Tighe!!

Thanks. I did a little editing, maybe you can use this as a starting point?

I added cut off foot and hand and removed all the crap:

Just Q*Bert, I figure all the other artwork of the other characters is available elsewhere in higher resolution.

Close to 10 years ago, my boss (at the time) and I were on a game buy in South Dakota and found what appeared to be a normal Q*bert. After opening it up, it was discovered that it contained Mello Yello ROMs. The gameplay was normal but the title screen said "Mello Yello presents Q*bert" and during the intermissions, he would fly on a disc up to a can and drink it with his nose. A video was taken of this but it was pre-youtube and has probably been lost to the sands of time. At the time, it was one of three known machines to have that ROMset.

The ROMs are available and Mello Yello Q*bert can be played in MAME.

And Mike's and Dave's 6 in 1 kit has Mello Yello on it as well!

Yeah. It wasn't that way at the time. That version was considered rare. Thanks to technology anybody can have it and the few machines that have original factory labeled Mello Yello ROMs are less valuable.

Modern day they do. I believe the slurpee was always the dome. Not sure if the big gulp started with a flat top then moved on to the peaked milk carton top with the plastic clip or if the milk carton style came first then became the standard plastic flat top. I would think by the time of this promo they were using the milk carton top or should I say container since it wasn't a removable top but actually the top end of the cup that folded to the milk carton style top that you would punch the hole for the straw.

I don't remember the milk carton top at all, and I'm an old guy. Maybe that was a regional thing? FWIR it was always the flat top around me.

When I click on your .ai link all I get is a blank gray screen. I'd love to download the vector and colorize it. Can you email it to me as an attachment? BTB, I am a Mac user.

Weird works for me, but I am not a Mac user. I emailed you the files. If I get some time I was planning on cleaning it all up.

The Q*Bert looks great, but the Mello Yello can looks like the colors are bleeding too much. Not as crisp as the shirt's can.

Nice job so far! I hope you get the whole image tied together. Would be a great topper image.

Yah, the original image effects how well the vectorization goes. The best bet is to vectorize the logo from the other can images earlier in this thread.

that would make for a cool Tshirt repro Im game if you guys are interrested.
the Qbert playfield image may have been taken from the manual or flyer perhaps.
