Got this machine a couple nights ago. The cord was cut off and coin bin, empty. Put a new cord on, plugged it in and the game chimed and the screen lit up, then nothing. I coined it up and it made no sound, but after pressing the start button, a tracer goes back and forth on the screen, chiming at every screen limit. I can't find anything about these, except for a manual for the monitor and built in power supplies. There are almost no parts for these out there either. I've searched and found a few sold, but that's it. I would just hate to see this thing hit the scrap heap.

I have a short video I recorded of what it's doing, but can't upload it.

Could you post a pic of the game board? sometimes pulling and reseating ROM chips can help if it has the type I'm thinking of. Pong clones are fairly simple games shouldn't be all that hard to try and debug it.

I wounder could it be in test mode?

I did try booting it up with the, what I assume to be, test switch in both positions. The only black switch on the board.

I forgot to mention that there is what looks to be a wet spot, but is a burn in, of the glass covering the monitor. When powering the game down, I noticed that there was a bright white spot in the center of the monitor for a few seconds before fading out, in the spot of the "burn in." Does this explain anything? Did something fry, causing that spot to remain lit, until someone finally noticed what it did to the glass? That's why the cord was cut off? I'm looking for any help.

Ah, no ROMs or processors on these bad boys - they are pure TTL, just like PONG.

I'd start by replacing any electrolytic caps on the board. IIRC they used few of them for timing long events and triggering the logic.

Yeah thats was I was thinking about the TTL. Just wanted to make sure sounds like the monitor might need a recapping plus the board. Checking all the voltages might be a help as well.

Here is a video of what this thing is doing. That is after adding credits and hitting start.

I had the board out, cleaned and reseated all removable chips. No broken legs on caps. No changes in what it does. Is there anyone I can send the board to? Where do I look for voltages? Haven't tested them yet.

There is life there. I would really like to get this running again.
