Can someone please check out this old game for me ? it has been up for weeks , not in great condition , BUT now it`s coming down in price , why is there 2 Pcb`s ? , maybe thats standard , im thinking it is a good resto , not sure if it has a Marquee header , sure i can get one from the forum .

I bet these go for nothing over USA , but we have very limited choices over here , i dont know why , we had tonnes of arcade places ,

From memory this game was cool , were the later tank games better to play ? . Normally the original was the best ,
would love some input , hey he might even drop it lower soon ,

Two PCB's are standard for Atari Tank/Tank II. Not sure why there are two tranformers in the bottom? Has the original XM monitor in there....that is a good thing. Cab looks a little beat.....and I'm not sure what the 'rectangle' is on the CP between the sticks.....but all in all....Tank is a classic!

The only thing to remember which some of us have forgot....you need two players to play Tank......there is not a single player mode.

Thanks Alan ,

We use 240 v in Australia , so one might be a step down ?
I will let it sit another week , then think about it , i was a carpenter for 20 years , i think i could resto the woodgrain ply , i like the bezel , it is a cheap game cab to look at , but that doesnt worry me , as long as i make it neat looking !

If you think it's too much, it looks like he has a best offer option...
Yeah in the states you could get a very nice working one for the same money, probably even less, and that looks pretty beat. But in my opinion, it's a fun 2 player game, and is a nice piece of arcade history.

The good thing is there is quite a bit of documentation on Tank online, here's a couple good ones, the Arkush Video Game Data book, and the original manual and schematics:

Paul......If you do buy that machine, and It dosn't work out for you, I would be interested in paying you a fair price for some of the parts off It, or even all of It!

I have a working TANK, and was looking at that one for some spare parts for back up that I might need in the future. At the moment the price + freight is a bit too much for me to justify buying It.

That's been for sale for MONTHS.

Originally the auction was for $200. It finished with no bids and then he listed it for $400, then $600... go figure:confused:

I really want one of these but that cabinet looks hammered and I can't be bothered doing a road trip for it... :(
