I posted in the electromechanical forum but not much luck there. Does anyone have one of these or have an idea of it's rarity and value?

Never heard of it before.... concept sounds cool though. I'd be willing to be its on the less common side of EMs. It's an EM that's not a shooter but looks like one.

The gameplay is kind of simple but fun. You try to rope the steer that appears in front of the cowbow. it makes a galloping sound and th rope twirls above the cowboy's head. each time you press the button the rope gets thrown in the direction of the little horizon scene to rope the steer. if you are successful the steer falls over with an audible groan. you then get one point.

The cab art is really nice, and the machine has held up well for its age. still has the original coin box too. Very solid cab with built in wheels.

I'd keep it for the novelty but the replay (for me anyways) isn't very high.

I've heard the Sega EM games are some of the most sought after and valuable. I'd say it's worth at least $600 but what do I know. Very cool find.

Well that was quick. I ended up selling it to Clay Harrell. He was searching for one on his website. Glad to find it a good home. Probably the first and last time I ever find a game that old in such good shape.

I think had it been an old rifle type shooter I would have held on to it.
