Got another hit on my CL arcades want ad. The guy says he has a working 1974 Attack UFO "2player table". He sent no pictures..so I looked it up. Are any of these old b&W games worth it? I asked him to send pics just to see what it is he has.

I noticed the KLOV description does not list a table or cocktail version..but that doesn't mean much if the game isn't any good.

I've always wanted a few in my collection - space is the only reason I haven't jumped at the chance.

I think the basic rule (and there are some notable exceptions) for games like this is: plan not to spend much, and assume you're not going to have an easy time selling it if you decide to get rid of it someday.

The upright looks cool and I wonder what the gameplay is like.

I don't think I'd go after a "table" version though. For some reason I just foresee it sitting there taking up a large amount of room and getting no attention.

Well since you are the Taito afficianado .. I can pick it up for ya if you want to work a deal. ;)

It looks like he has since put it up on CL.

It's a Space Invaders clone and NOT the game in the klov database called Attack UFO.

That think has got to be 1978 or 1979. No way 1974. It's color too, so that would be '79 or '80.

$500 is rather strong.
