Good day to you all -
Recently, I picked up a 1969 Sea Raider and it's such a neat EM machine. IMHO, EM's are truly amazing pieces of arcade game history. I've decided that from now on I will mostly purchase only EM's for my collection. Yes, I enjoy 80's and 90's arcade machines, but there is something unique about a good ole' EM standup arcade. The character of the cabinet, classic artwork and the simplicity of gameplay brings me back each and everytime. The blacklight effect is really cool too! Sea Raider is currently 95% working. At the moment, it's not showing the explosion light when the ships are hit by the torpedeo, contact hands of the ships need adjusting and also needs a good internal cleaning. It has the typical marks and scratches on the cabinet. With that all aside, it's truly in fantastic shape. 100% complete. The coin door had not been open in many years; keys lost ... I drilled out the lock and discovered that there was a little over 19,000 coin hits on he counter, a service slip from 1978 was found inside also. Location stated: Carnegie??
Not sure of the specific location of this machine. Any thoughts?
Anyways, EM's are a true passion of mine and if you ever have the chance to pickup a Sea Raider or any other EM... you should go for it!
Check out the glass on this bad boy. Love it.
I just wanted to share my EM experience. Enjoy and Happy Holidays.
